Engineer should have experience in design and implementation of network solutions. 3COM/H3C hardware product line, SR, MSR 5800/8800 Series Routers Any 2 of the device experience mentioned (H3C/3COM, Procurve, Checkpoint, F5, Tipping Point ) Access Control Lists. IP Subnetting IOS, and Native IOS Layer 3 routing and layer 2 switching - 802.1Q Trunking, VLANs, Channeling, HSRP, STP, VTP, QoS, Multicast, DHCP, DNS Circuit types (MPLS, Frame Relay, DSL, VPN, ISDN, etc.) Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP (Candidate has to be very strong in BGP), EIGRP, IGRP) Create bill of materials and obtain vendor cost quotes Writing configurations (Cisco, HP ProCurve hardware products) Visio diagrams-creating/updating Creating implementation documents Change management Good understanding on the products like S5120C-E1, S5500-E1, S5800, S5820X, S7500E, S9500E, S12500 PSQ: 1.
