About us tCognition Inc. established in 2003, a Minority Based Entrepreneur (MBE) for MA, NY and GSA certified company with offices in Boston (Massachusetts), Irving (Texas) and (Mumbai & Kolhapur) India offers IT/Software Staffing, Consulting and Outsourcing Services for its customers – www.tcognition.com This is with reference to your profile on job portal; we would like to discuss an opening for Offshore Back Up resources Position: Offshore Back Up resources Work Location: Hyderabad Skills Required : Sound Knowledge of Storage Libraries . · Hands-on experience on configuring tape-drives, media pools. · Troubleshooting all kind of Backup & Restore related failures. · Troubleshooting knowledge in Media, Drive and Tape library related issues. · Knowledge in NDMP, VTL, SAN Media servers, Vault and Duplication options. · Hands-on experience in scheduling backup jobs/policies. · Experience in managing critical restorations, database restorations. · Experience in installing, configuring and managing various Backup Agents and Option. · Knowledge on Disaster-Recovery procedures. · Analyse and resolution of escalated problems. · Audit application backup policies and environments to ensure integrity of backup and recovery activities. · Actively and pre-emptively determine possible faults and causes by the execution of pre-determined health and operational checks. · Manage and resolve problems identified by sys admins or monitoring software . · Experience with change and problem management tools. · Hardware / software fault detection and vendor liaison. · Analyse and resolve escalated problems within defined SLA. · Investigate, identify and document proposals that will improve application recoverability and performance. · Document and implement changes to technical standards as required. · Ensure that customer satisfactory levels are exceeded. · Has applied knowledge in the administration of windows and Linux/Unix systems. · Provide recommendations to improve the backup/recovery infrastructure, and address/lead critical issues and root cause analysis.
