Job Descriptions:
1. Solaris
a. V7 with Veritas Volume Manager
b. V8 and V9 with Sun Volume Manager
2. AIX 5.3
a. VIO and DLPAR concepts
b. HMC operations
c. NIM
3. Linux Redhat 5x
a. X86
b. VMware
Special skills / requirements if any :
1. FTP and SFTP
2.SUDO
3. AIX HACMP
4. strong skills in user access and file permissions
5. TCP/IP and network interface experience
6. OS backup and restoral experience
Additional desirable tech skills :
3+ years of experience managing and maintaining a large server base of UNIX/Solaris/AIX/Linux systems.
Candidate should ideally have experience in providing support to a global client from a remote central location, preferably US based customers.
Should have hardware knowledge for the hardware platforms that support the various UNIX operating systems.
Knowledge in working with Networker, Web logic front end, BMC patrol agent.
Candidate should have a solid understanding of system performance and capacity management issues.
Local disk, volume and RAID array management required.
Knowledge of SAN storage a plus
Knowledge of working with US FDA validated systems, GXP requirements and IQ-OQ process is a plus
Soft skills : Available for 24*7 support
Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.
Excellent communication, writing, meeting facilitation skills (English)
Candidate should be detail and task orientated with the ability to work as part of a team and quickly establish credibility with colleagues.
Min Educational Qualification: Graduate/Diploma along with relevant certifications and work experience
