we have an urgent position with Zensar technologies ltd, Pune work location : Pune exp - 7 to 10 yrs POSITION : VMWARE ADMINISTRATOR SHOULD BE ABLE TO JOIN IN 1 MONTH COMPANY PROFILE www.zensar.com skill required Job Description – • Must have a minimum of 10 years working experience and intimate proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server platforms, administration and troubleshooting in a large-scale multi-site environment. • Must have a minimum of 5 years working experience and expert knowledge of Active Directory administration and troubleshooting. • Must have Good verbal and written communications skills. • Working Knowledge of Project Management methodologies (PMI, Prince 2). Essential experience on project planning, execution and control. • Must have extensive knowledge in Microsoft technologies with diverse platform experience. • Experience in server and network monitoring, capacity planning, change management and configuration policies in a high volume, highly available, performance sensitive environment. • Experience in VMWare, ESX design and support is required. • Must have strong scripting skills and knowledge of Windows Powershell and sound working knowledge of Internet/Intranet technologies including security features. • Working knowledge in ITIL standards. • Working knowledge of network infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP. • Working knowledge of remote access technology. • Proficient in MS Office Professional Suite including the ability to fluently use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • Excellent customer service and telephone skills, and experience in a professional service environment, with responsibility for supporting multiple applications and network environment. • Must have very strong problem solving skills. Strong experience in VMware vSphere 4.1 • VMware ESXi Server • VMware VirtualCenter • VMware VMotion • VMware HA • VMware DRS • VMware Consolidated Backup • A command of Server Networking • Certified VCP (VMware Certified Professional) • Working experience on Installation, Configuration and Troubleshooting of Clusters • Working experience on ESX server 3.5/4.0 Virtual Center 2.5/4.0, • View Server 3/4, Lab Manager, Site Recovery Manager, etc. • Troubleshooting of VMware products and Log Analysis • Analysis of Windows BSOD/ Linux Kernel crash dump is added advantage. • Knowledge of Capacity planning. • Should be a VCP as well.(VCP Must with MCP/MCSE or RHCE preffered) • Manages and documents system events to ensure the integrity of the system • Upgrades system hardware and software components as required • Install, setup, upgrades and configures system files and services • Perform configuration and testing. • De-install, decommission or retire assets when required • Monitors and improves system performance through kernel and file system tuning • Assists with system troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems • Deep technical knowledge on the VMware Hardware and Software infrastructure and the related Windows server platform. • Proactively perform performance tuning, availability monitoring and capacity monitoring on the related server platform. • Performs and support Disaster recovery drill for each requested business entity. • Analyzes, logs, tracks, and resolves hardware/software matters pertaining to networking, connectivity issues, printers, servers and applications to meet business needs. • Knowledge of cluster & Replication is a plus • Experience with other virtualization products is a plus • Good Project Management experience, specifically in project execution • Excellent Communication skills • Administer and support Active Directory, DNS & Microsoft Exchange replication. • Maintain the integrity and security of the organizations Active Directory/windows environment. • Conduct system analysis and implement improvements to keep the systems current with changing technologies. • Coordinate with other groups to implement system changes. • Support, maintain and administer third party applications. • Enforce change management and compliance processes. • Work as a technical resource on assigned projects. • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing and implementation. • Provide 24/7 on-call support for entire server environment. • Plan and participate in weekend maintenance activities, as required. • Provide third level escalation support, as required. • Provide technical leadership to internal and external personnel. Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced personnel. • Participate in rotational on-call and weekend and off-hour duties. • Document all work processes and procedures. • Other duties as assigned.
