Linux (Level II)
4+ years of experience managing and maintaining a large server base of Solaris or AIX and Red Hat Linux systems.
Candidate should ideally have experience in providing remote support to a US based customer.
Should have hardware knowledge for the hardware platforms that support the various Unix operating systems.
Candidate should have a solid understanding of system performance and capacity management issues.
Local disk, volume and RAID array management required.
Knowledge of SAN storage and Backup/Restore applications a plus.
Can demonstrate Ticket handling and escalation procedures.
Experience in working with vendors in researching and resolving critical issues.
Available for 24*7 support
Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.
Must have excellent written and oral communications (English).
Able to facilitate and drive escalation meetings.
Candidate should be detail and task orientated with the ability to work as part of a team and quickly establish credibility with colleagues.
Note : Individual will be required to work as per normal US working time.
