Job Description
ROLE: Java/Scala Developer
We are looking for a great Java/Scala developer, a quick learner and highly motivated to build cool stuff.
Someone experienced in analysis, implementation and testing. A "can do" attitude is encouraged.
We are looking for a Java/Scala expert, or someone who would like to become an expert in Java/Scala and the other technologies we use.
We are building large-scale distributed applications that use Machine Learning and NLP to process large volumes of documents, extract entities, and classify documents in various ways.
What you will need:
Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience in Java or Scala programming
- Excellent understanding of OO languages
- A strong working knowledge of Java or Scala. If you do not already know Scala, you must have a strong desire to learn it
- Working knowledge of Reactive Programming
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to adhere to development processes and deliver high quality code on time
- Working knowledge of popular open-source Java/Scala frameworks, Akka, ElasticSearch, etc.
- Experience with Linux/Unix Operating systems - must
