We have an immediate opening for the position of Network WAN/LAN Engineer deputed to our client project in Bangalore. Position : Network WAN/LAN Engineer Job Location: Bangalore Exp : 4 - 9 years Technological Requirements - - * Experience supporting both Wide Area Network and Local Area Network technologies in a large-scale geographically diverse environment including Remote support. * Extensive Cisco experience with the following technologies protocols & techniques: * MPLS * IP Routing (e.g. RIP, EIGRP, OSPF and BGP) & route control mechanisms (route filtering, route maps, etc) * LAN communications (including 802.1q-based VLANs, link aggregation, jumbo framing & Cisco VTP) * WAN communications (including ML-PPP, frame relay & ATM) * Packet encryption (IPSEC, ISAKMP, DMVPN, etc) * Network management protocols (SNMP, DHCP, DNS, etc) * Process automation through scripting (e.g. UNIX shell, Perl etc) * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to work in geographically dispersed teams * Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications * Change management: ITIL process and knowledge on Tools like HP-open view , CA etc * Logical thought process and ability to learn new systems, concepts, and procedures * Must be available to work off hours or shifts as required for 24/7/365 support * Solid work ethic * Self starter providing world class customer service * Desire to work issues to completion by engaging rather than being engaged * Ability to trouble-shoot complex network related incidents - Specifically Cisco and Telco related. * On call pager rotation and off hour support may be required.
