We have the following role which might interest you: Role : Solution Centre Engineer Job Location : Bangalore Experience : 5+yrs Provide Level 1 remote reactive support on HP PARISC/Integrity Servers and HPUX via Phone, Email, remote access. * Possess good spoken and written communication and customer handling skills. * Should have good analytical/logical approach on troubleshooting for resolving hardware issues * Being a 24x7 operation, candidate should be willing to work in shifts. * Working knowledge of PARISC and/or Integrity systems * Exposure to HP servers ( PARISC & INTEGRITY range of servers) * Exposure to Integrity- Blade servers * Knowledge of Partitioning - vPAR/nPAR * Knowledge of Management Processor and usage for troubleshooting * Knowledge of HPMC and hardware log analysis tools. * Online(STM) and offline diagnostics * Experience in Troubleshooting O/S, software Issues. * System administration and troubleshooting skills in the following areas:- âˆ' Installation, configuration & administration of HP-UX 10.20, 11i (v1/v2/v3) âˆ' Shells & Utilities ( sh, ksh, csh..) âˆ' Knowledge on Ignite UX âˆ' Installation/configuration of software, basic knowledge on trouble shooting SD-UX & Patch management âˆ' Command level hand-on the sysadmin tasks âˆ' Kernel management, understanding of kernel parameters âˆ' Basic understanding of swap config and memory management âˆ' HP-UX MC Service Guard & High availability concepts. âˆ' HP-UX File Systems : HFS, VxFS, CDFS âˆ' Strong understanding of HP-UX LVM and VxVM âˆ' HP-UX Network Services: TCP/IP, NIS, DNS, DHCP..etc âˆ' HP-UX trusted systems - security âˆ' First pass dump analysis Please feel free to share references, if any of your friends/colleagues would be interested..
