̢ۢ Perform Day to Day monitoring task
̢ۢ Server event monitoring
̢ۢ Monitor tool console for error/ events continuously
̢ۢ Accept calls from Service Desk and resolve the user problems related to servers within SLA norms
̢ۢ Perform prompt escalation when the call is not resolved within the norms
̢ۢ Update Service Desk with call resolution details
̢ۢ Perform Backup and Restore operation
̢ۢ Execute scheduled jobs
̢ۢ Generate and publish reports
̢ۢ Perform escalation as per the matrix
̢ۢ Monitor error log files
̢ۢ Identifying performance bottlenecks in OS
̢ۢ Register down and up time of database in Service Desk
̢ۢ Work as a first level support in trouble-shooting database related issues in the data center database infrastructure
̢ۢ User and group creation and maintenance
̢ۢ Disks/Partitions/file systems Administration
̢ۢ Monitoring and tuning the system performance
̢ۢ Analyzing the error conditions using diagnostic utilities.
̢ۢ Examining log files on regular basis to detect irregular behavior
̢ۢ Generating reports on error conditions/corrective actions
̢ۢ Logging all activities into log files for analysis purpose
̢ۢ Performing manual and scheduled backups.
̢ۢ Restoration of backed up data from tapes.
̢ۢ Recovering data from disaster situations like disk crash, or any hardware failure
̢ۢ Maintain register on activities performed for database inside data center
̢ۢ Hands on experience on HP Hardware
̢ۢ Knowledge of XP Storage, SAN switch
