Desired Profile: Experience : 5+ yrs Work Location : Australia Job Type : Permanent position with Artech & Deputed to the client place in Australia Position : Linux and Open Source software Required skills and responsibilities. Strong knowledge of Linux and Open Source software Experience with enterprise Linux distributions from Red Hat and Novell. A good understanding of disk and file system related facilities such as LVM, Multipath SAN. A strong understanding of network setup, layers, configuration and facilities (DNS, DHCP etc) The ability to be able to troubleshoot complex technical problems. The ability to come up with innovative ways to address problems, issues or inefficiencies. Knowledge of Linux security such as SELinux, LDAP, NSS, PAM etc Assist the team leaders with technical and administrative direction when required. The ability to be able to assist with the creation of Linux based solutions, and the QA of provided solutions. Sound scripting and language skills, such as bash, perl, python, php etc. Knowledge of Cluster technologies and shared file systems. Ability to work unsupervised on several activities concurrently. Experience with performance management monitoring and problem identification and resolution. Ability to perform Operating System upgrades Ability to supervise others. Installation, maintenance and support of Linux enterprise distributions. Perform problem determination and resolution Take ownership of assigned tasks and prioritise in accordance with workload priorities and team leader's directions. Support project schedule and tasks as assigned, and deliver to the schedule. Adhere to IBM security and compliance policies Implement change in accordance with change procedures Manage problem resolution in accordance with severity and via the project team structure, or as appropriate via problem management processes and tools.
