Manage and Build database schema, tables and permissions 3. Set up data sharing and disk partitioning 4. Develop database utilities and reporting 5. Create, test and execute data management languages 6. Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements 7. Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency 8. Monitor database systems and platforms for business continuity 9. Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring and replication 10. Restore and recover any failed database instances 11. Install and test upgrades and patches (dev / qa / staging) 12.
