Our Client is a offers full-text searching capabilities for real-time and historical SEC EDGAR filings for institutional clients. The Application Developer will create and maintain code for the back end of this subscription-based search and alert engine. The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent programming skills.
Responsibilities
+ Create and maintain code for the web-based search application.
+ Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle.
+ Build enhancements, troubleshoot problems, and correct application defects.
+ Develop UI frameworks that are fast, clean, and easy to maintain.
+ Continuous learning and application of new knowledge to your day-to-day work.

Requirements
+ A bachelor̢۪s degree in computer science or an engineering field or MCA
+ A minimum of 5-6 years of prior programming experience.
+ Strong coding habits and effective programming in C, C++, MySQL (queries, schemas, stored procedures, views, triggers, and best practices), XML, JSON. Programming experience of the above in Linux / Unix environment is required.
+ Should be very familiar with the analysis, design, implementation, and troubleshooting of multi-threaded and network applications.
+ Experience with agile development and programming and scripting languages like Java, Python, or Perl is desirable.
+ Experience with Linux, apache and other open source technologies including familiarity with command line, file systems and networking.
+ A background in financial/accounting fundamentals is a plus.
