Linux L2 operating system experience is a must. Mass Interview Details: Please find below the job description for your kind perusal. Primary responsibilities • Support in a 24 X 7 Environment (NOC).[6 days working] • Support the Clients over voice/chat/mail • Responsible for the uptime of the various client projects being managed / monitored. • Make sure that the Tickets raised per shift are closed in the required time limits and if not escalated as per the escalation Matrix defined. • Raise and also update the tickets in CRM for all the issues handled / worked upon. • Report the daily issues handled / escalated in the form of Daily reports. • Apply patches to the OS / applications or upgrade the applications as and when required, as per the approval process • Monitoring & Management of Backup Application • Audits of the setups done by the fellow engineers to make sure that the setup being handed over to the customer is done to the customer's satisfaction. • Make sure that issues are handled in right time frames as per the SLA / commitments. • Follow up with Vendors – hardware & software whenever required & resolve issues by minimizing downtimes. Technical Skills • Strong Linux OS fundamentals • Apache, MySQL, PHP Apps • Strong knowledge of DNS. • Knowledge of any Mail application like Qmail or Postfix. • Working knowledge on any one of branded hardware vendors like HP/Sun/IBM/Dell. • Knowledge of LDAP, Tomcat/Weblogic/Websphere Application Servers and Any Backup application  will be an  added advantage, JBOSS • Working knowledge & concepts of Any Backup (like Veritas or Bacula or Legato)& Monitoring application (like Nagios, AdventNet etc..) • Knowledge of Clustering or Virtualization will be an added advantage.
