Manage Group Data Center Operations at Mumbai 2. Streamline the data center operations, and implement policies in relation to regulations. 3. Responsible for Data Center accesses, security procedures & controls. 4. Capacity planning of data center infrastructure and performance of health checks, etc. 5. Develop a reliable Backup and Restore strategy & manage daily backups/restores, inventory and other data center tasks 6. Develop/maintain documentation (SOP) for Data Center and BCP architecture 7. Meeting the Service level Agreement (SLA) with the businesses 8. Manage 3rd party Service Level Agreement 9. Ensure Compliance to Security Standards like ISO27001 Identification of latest technologies and implementing relevant ones in Datacenter Job Context & Major Challenges The Group datacenter (at Ahura and Hyderabad) is the central shared infrastructure for co-hosting of servers (350 servers, 6 storages) – belonging to different companies operating out of Ahura. These servers have varied business critical applications like SAP, Poornata, Mail & Messaging, Internet, Financial Applications such as Hyperion, Insurance. IT Shared services goes beyond centralization to recast Group IT from a cost-center to a powerful support system for business imperatives and general productivity. The shift is involves a customer-focused approach to delivering IT services and places an emphasis on efficiency. Therefore, the major challenge for the job holder is to provide 100% availability and the reliability of IT services in very efficient manner. Some of the major challenges 1. To meet customer demand for more efficient services. 2. To meet demand fro greater security and privacy of individual business unit 3.
