Job Title: Technical Support Engineer.
Division / Group: SMB / Tech Support
Primary job responsibilities involve:
Provide high quality telephone support for Backup Exec for Windows Servers, as well as other Symantec Software products as required.
Primary responsibility is to successfully resolve technical issues with customers over the phone with continued follow up until resolved and insure proper escalation procedures are followed for unresolved issues.
This support includes troubleshooting, the use of sophisticated tools, analysis of logs, and coordination of all available resources to resolve issues.
In this position you will work closely with the customer on complex Windows system-level problems as well as application layer issues.
Other work includes writing knowledgebase articles, case documentation, product documentation, providing technical training, conducting research on customer incidents, and other duties as assigned.
24X7 VOICE SUPPORT
Technical Skills required:
Should have worked in 24*7 operations on voice support minimum for 2 years.
Technical knowledge on OS (Windows 2003 & 2008 servers), Exchange, Active Directory, VMware, Microsoft SQL, DNS, DHCP , RAID and knowledge in troubleshooting and inclination towards customer support. Experience on any other database is also preferred.
Excellent English communication skills are required.
Total IT Experience: 3 to 5 years.
